1. Information We Collect

To help you shop smarter and save money, we collect different types of information. This can include data that identifies you directly (like your name) and data that doesn't.

Here's what we may collect:

  • Registration & Contact Info: When you sign up, we ask for things like your name, email, phone number, and password. If you connect using a social media account, we might also get information like your email, name, and birth date from that service. This helps us create your account and communicate with you.

  • About You (Relationship Info): We gather information about your preferences, lifestyle, and interests, including data from social media interactions (like Facebook Connect) and demographics (like birth date, gender, budget, income). This helps us understand what offers you might like.

  • Search & Shopping List Info: We collect what you search for in the app, items you add to your shopping list, and what you mark off your list.

  • Purchase History: We collect details about your purchases, including item descriptions, quantities, prices, the store, and when you bought them. This includes information from receipts you submit (like payment method, including EBT usage) and order history gathered by our browser extension when you use it for offers.

  • How You Use Stretch (Transaction Info): We track how you interact with our Services, such as the offers you view and redeem, products you buy, stores you prefer, and how you engage with our emails and notifications.

  • Washington State Consumer Health Data: If you're making purchases in Washington State, we may collect "Consumer Health Data" as defined by WA law. This could include information on health-related purchases, precise location data that might indicate health service visits (if you allow it), and other non-health information used to infer health status. If you don't want us to collect this, please do not share purchase data that identifies health conditions, do not allow precise location tracking, and do not link loyalty/retailer accounts. By providing this information, you consent to its collection for the purposes outlined in this policy. See Section 10 for more details.

  • Loyalty & Retailer Account Info: If you choose to link your Stretch account to retail loyalty programs, we collect your usernames (which could be your phone or email), passwords, and account numbers, along with all past and future purchase and transaction details from those accounts (items, prices, stores, in-store/delivery, purchase time). We do NOT collect payment card numbers, expiration dates, security codes, or bank account details.

  • Location Information (Geolocation): We use your general location (state, city, zip code). If you enable precise location tracking on your mobile device, we also collect that data and the time of day. You can control this in your device settings.

  • Mobile Device Information: When you use our mobile Services, we collect information about your device, like its identifier (e.g., Android Advertising ID, Apple iOS IDFA), model, operating system, and how you use the app (features used, clicks on notifications).

  • Invisible CAPTCHA: We use Invisible CAPTCHA (a Google tool) for security. This collects information in the background and is handled according to the Google Privacy Policy.

  • Cookies & Similar Technologies: We and our partners use cookies (small text files) and similar technologies like pixel tags and web beacons. These help us understand how you use our Services (e.g., IP address, browser type, device settings, referral website). This information helps us optimize our Services and analyze traffic. Sometimes, we link this data to your identity. If so, this Privacy Policy applies. You can adjust your browser settings to manage cookies, but some features might not work as well. See "Your Choices" below for more on cookies.

  • Information from Linked Third-Party Accounts: If you link third-party accounts to Stretch, you're agreeing to share information between that third party and Stretch. We may receive your purchase history or other data from them and combine it with your Stretch information. Each third-party platform has its own privacy policy, and it's your responsibility to unlink accounts if you no longer wish to share data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to power Stretch, help you save money, and personalize your experience.

Here's how we use your data:

  • Improve & Operate Services: To make Stretch work better, including web hosting and sending emails on our behalf.

  • Facilitate Payments: To process payments you request through third parties.

  • Analyze Usage: To understand how you use our Services so we can improve them.

  • Personalize Offers & Ads: To show you relevant offers and advertisements based on your interests, past shopping behavior, purchase history, location, or EBT usage. We may use artificial intelligence and machine learning to help with this.

  • Determine Eligibility: To see if you qualify for certain offers, products, or services.

  • Track Redemptions & Purchases: To monitor offer redemptions, past purchases, and prevent fraud.

  • Perform Analytics: To create anonymous or aggregated data for Stretch's and third parties' marketing, advertising, and data analysis.

  • Provide Customer Support: To help you with any issues or questions.

  • Fulfill Requests: To deliver the Stretch services you ask for, including security validation by Invisible CAPTCHA.

  • Communicate with You: To send you news, special offers, announcements, marketing materials, reminders, technical notices, and support messages from Stretch and our partners.

  • Location-Based Services: If you opt-in to background location tracking on your mobile device, we use this to infer places you visit often, how long you stay, send push notifications when you're near stores with offers, and support advertising.

  • Deliver Ads & Marketing: To send you advertisements and marketing messages through the Services, email, text, or push notifications.

  • Administer Promotions: To run surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or other events sponsored by us or our partners.

  • Manage Our Business: For daily operations like website administration, analytics (including AI and machine learning), fraud prevention, enforcing our Terms of Use, and complying with laws.

  • Other Consented Purposes: For any other purposes you agree to.

We may also combine or anonymize information in a way that doesn't identify you personally and use it for any purpose.

3. When We Share Your Information

We share your information to provide our services, personalize your experience, and for other business and legal reasons.

Here's who we may share your data with:

  • Vendors & Service Providers: We share information with companies that help us provide our Services to operate our Services (e.g., marketing, analytics, fraud prevention, account security, customer service, and using AI services).

  • Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers: If Stretch is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

  • Legal & Compliance: We may share your information when legally required (e.g., subpoena, court order), to defend ourselves in legal actions, protect our rights or property, investigate fraud, or respond to government requests.

  • Analytics Providers: We use third-party services like Google Analytics, AppsFlyer, Heap, and Singular to understand how our Services are used and improve them. These services have their own privacy policies (links provided in Section 9 of the original policy for reference, though we've integrated the info here).

  • Aggregated & De-Identified Data: We may share information that doesn't identify you personally, such as aggregated or statistical data, with our partners or other third parties.

  • With Your Consent: We may share your information if you give us permission to do so.

4. Your Privacy Choices

We believe you benefit from a more personalized experience, but you have control over your information.

Here's how you can manage your preferences:

  • Email: You can manage your email preferences in the "Notifications" section under "Settings" in the Stretch mobile app, or by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email we send you. You can choose to subscribe to some messages and unsubscribe from others.

  • Cookies: You can manage how your browser handles cookies through your browser's privacy and security settings. Be aware that disabling cookies might limit some customized features of our Services.

  • Mobile Location Services:

    • Precise Geolocation: If you've enabled precise location tracking on your device, you can turn off "Nearby Offer Alerts" in the Stretch app's Settings to stop location-based features. You can also adjust your mobile device settings to prevent sharing of precise location data.

    • Impact of Opt-Out: If you don't allow Stretch to use your location or disable these features, some Services may not function as intended (e.g., personalized content based on location, relevant push notifications).

  • Social Networks & Linked Accounts: You can manage what information social networks or other third parties share with Stretch by adjusting the privacy settings on those platforms.

  • Web Push Notifications: You can opt in or out of web push notifications directly through your browser's options or settings.

  • SMS Programs: If you've given us your mobile number, you may receive SMS text messages for account verification, authentication, or if another user invites you to Stretch. You can stop receiving SMS by texting "STOP" to any message we send you. We'll send a confirmation, and then you won't receive more SMS messages from us.

5. Data Security

We use various physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to protect your information and improve its integrity and security. However, please understand that no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee that data breaches by unauthorized parties will never occur.
